Armed robbers jailed after violent attack on delivery drivers
A pair of violent armed robbers who threatened two grocery delivery drivers at gunpoint and described themselves as ‘Mafia’ have been put behind bars. One of the victims had an imitation firearm pointed in her face before she was dragged from the van and struck several times over the head with the weapon during the robbery in Stepnall Heights, Boughton, near Ollerton.
Man charged after huge drugs haul intercepted at airport
Police have charged a man after a parcel containing a huge haul of cannabis was intercepted by Border Force officers at East Midlands Airport. Nottinghamshire Police officers executed a warrant at an address in Hucknall Road, Sherwood - the parcel’s destination – on Wednesday (16 November 2022).

A suspect has been arrested after a man had his trainers taken during a street robbery. Officers were called to Lower Parliament Street, Nottingham city centre, following reports of the attack.

County flood plan put to test as partners carry out dry run
A two-day exercise to test flood resilience plans in Nottinghamshire has been hailed a success. FloodEx22 brought together multiple agencies in a dry run of how they would react to a major flooding incident. The live exercise involved around 80 delegates and took place at Highfields Fire Station in Beeston on Tuesday and Wednesday.
