Appeal launched after teenage girl is punched in the head outside takeaway

Detectives are trying to trace the man in this picture following a nasty assault where a teenage girl was smacked in the head.

The incident happened on Sunday, September 25, at around 1.46am outside a takeaway in Long Row in Nottingham city centre.

A 19-year-old girl was punched in the head by an unknown man. She was left with minor injuries.

PC Shane Adams, who is investigating the incieent, said: “This was an unprovoked attack in the city centre where the female was hit in the head by a male not known to her. It has left the victim shaken.

“This behaviour is not acceptable and we are working at finding the person responsible. We have released an image of a man which could help us with our inquiries.
