Road closed following serious collision

A main road has been closed following a serious collision involving two cars.

The incident happened in Southwell Road, Gonalston, at around 10.47pm yesterday (Thursday 22 September 2022).

The A612 Southwell Road remains closed between its junctions with Gonalston Road, Gonalston, and Beck Street, Thurgarton, while emergency services deal with the incident.

The road closures are expected to remain in place for some time. Drivers are advised to avoid the area if possible.
