Suspect charged after student flat burglary

Detectives investigating a burglary at a student property have charged a suspect.

The break-in was reported at a ground floor flat in Bullivant Street, St Ann’s, on Monday 19 December 2022.

A window was smashed and a laptop stolen from inside.

Joseph Healy, aged 40, has been charged with burglary.

Healy, of Lawson Street, appeared at Nottingham Magistrates’ Court on Monday (16 January) and was remanded in custody.

He will next appear at Nottingham Crown Court on 13 February.

Detective Constable Louise Turton, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We treat all reports of burglary with the utmost seriousness as we understand how upsetting it is to fall victim to such a crime.

“Members of the public can be reassured reports will be fully investigated and we will always do everything we can to bring suspects before the court at the earliest opportunity.”
