Police have charged a suspect after stopping a taxi and seizing a knife from inside. Officers from the city knife crime team were called to the Basford area after receiving intelligence relating to the vehicle. After spotting the car, the specialist team pulled it over at around 2.55pm on Thursday (25 May) and carried out a search at the roadside.
Three officers were left with injuries on their arms and legs after attempting to arrest a suspect who had allegedly stolen a car and caused damage at a public house.
