Police have taken out two cannabis grows overnight preventing harmful drugs from hitting the streets. Officers attended reports of two disturbances in Worksop on Wednesday night (31 May 2023), at addresses in Cresswell Street and Cheapside.
A residential property has been closed by police after repeated complaints about drug dealing, violence and antisocial behaviour. The property, in Beechwood Court, Skegby, had been the subject of dozens of complaints by local residents and the site of numerous criminal incidents, including a serious assault.

Officers broke through the front door of a property in Lemont Road in Forest Town, Mansfield, on Monday 22 May. Two rooms were being used in the property to grow cannabis and the electricity had been bypassed.

Police were patrolling the St Ann’s area at around 2.15am on Sunday (21 May) when they spotted a car being driven erratically. After following the vehicle for a short period, officers stopped the car in Richmond Avenue, St Ann’s.
Police arrested two people when they found a bin bag full of suspected mamba after executing a warrant at an address in Clifton. Officers attended an address in Porter Close at around 2.45pm on Wednesday 17 May. A search of the property took place and a white bin bag containing a large quantity of vegetable matter suspected to be mamba was recovered in the lounge.
Police discovered a large cannabis factory in the loft and bedrooms of a house after concerns were raised by neighbours. More than 300 plants and bags full of the Class B drug were found when officers raided the property in Bilborough on Sunday (14 May). The City West neighbourhood policing team was alerted to the grow by a neighbour who had noticed a water leak spreading into her own property.
Residents in a close-knit community are being asked to work in partnership with the police to help tackle crime and anti-social behaviour. Additional officers have recently been patrolling the area as officers respond to concerns about antisocial behaviour and drug-related offending.

After attending the house in Beech Avenue, Mapperley, at around 2.10pm on Monday (8 May), response officers carried out a search.
